The Opera Hall Antique Center opened over 15 years ago and contains three floors of antiques and collectibles ranging from Victorian to Country, Primitive and beyond. This wonderful old building was the home of The Odd Fellows Hall, who built the structure in 1888, as well as the Lake Mills Opera House. Besides weekly lodge meetings upstairs many a social gathering took place on the first floor of the building, from the likes of a full opera to a swing band during the 30s and 40s. Come browse as long as you wish. There is so much to see and enjoy. Of course, our antique dealers would also like you to purchase something! Hours: Open daily 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Closed major holidays.

Staller Estate's vision is to create a multisatisfying experience exemplifying our regional wines. Our vision was to build a family farm winery due, very simply, to our love for family, passion for farming and appreciation of the wine aesthetic. Both our educations are based in biological and chemical sciences. Our practical experience stems from our amateur winemaking and grape growing experience, in the process accomplishing numerous international awards. These experiences are also accompanied by significant industrial experience. Best tour in Wisconsin WOLLERSHEIM WINERY, .......... situated on Southern slopes overlooking the Wisconsin River, is a delight to both the eye and the tongue. The golden colored limestone winery was built by Europeans in the 1850’s and used until the turn of the century.

Personal favorite of the Innkeepers. Nestled in the heart of Wisconsin’s Iowa County Uplands and surrounded by more than 900 acres of nature conservancy, Botham Vineyards & Winery has been growing and producing regionally distinctive Wisconsin wines of international acclaim since 1989. Designed and built as a dairy farm in the early 1900s, the soul of this property was given new purpose; its gently sloping pastures, once deeply lined with the hoof prints of a half-century’s herds and knotted with rocks and tree stumps, became host to the tranquil symmetry of trellis abd the circa-1900 hung barn, rare both for its architecture and longevity, was lovingly restored and now houses our tasting room, gallery, gift shop and Back-Barn Lounge. A large outdoor terrace provides spectacular views in every season. The dirt floor and cinder block walls of a one-time cattle shed provided the shell for the original winery.

The Cafe Carpe, a secular trinity of family-friendly cafe, bar, and listening room, is housed in a century-old brick building on the Rock River, with a screened porch overlooking the water. Run by fairly sentient centenarians Bill Camplin and Kitty Welch, the Carpe has been idiosyncratic since 1985. Peruse this site to learn its fascinating history, and to discover what it has to offer, and when, but do not ask why.

Tyranena Brewing Company is located in a modern brewing facility in Lake Mills, producing six year-round beers and a number of seasonal and specialties beers. Beer is available in bottles and at select draught accounts in Wisconsin, Indiana and portions of Minnesota and Illinois. Our beautiful smoke-free Tasting Room and Beer Garden are open Wednesday through Sunday.

Here you’ll find out about Sauk warrior, Black Hawk, and the 1832 Black Hawk War. Discover what kind of soldier young Abraham Lincoln was and learn how “Fort Atkinson” came to be. Explore the contributions of two locals of whom we’re very proud: William Dempster Hoard, the father of American dairying; and Lorine Niedecker, world famous poet. In between all this, you’ll see amazing collections of artifacts, artwork, and much more. The museum's new permanent exhibit, Mysteries of the Mounds, is now open for viewing. Visitors will also enjoy The National Dairy Shrine’s Museum, which features a multimedia show that captures the sights and sounds of dairy farming: past, present, and future. FREE ADMISSION!

Stroll 16 acres of outdoor gardens featuring stunning landscapes and Midwest-hardy plants. Visit the tropics in the Bolz Conservatory, filled with exotic plants, flowers, orchids, birds, and a waterfall. Outdoor Gardens are free and open daily. Conservatory admission is $2 and free on Wednesday and Saturday, 10 am to noon.

Jefferson Speedway runs a number of special events each year. The 2003 schedule contains three "Tournaments of Destruction." These events provide thrills and laughs, for children of all ages, with events ranging from Auto Bowling, to 4 cylinders racing on soap suds, and ending with a Demolition Derby. These bouts of automotive mayhem are staged on non-race nights. Check our schedule for dates and times.

Rowe Pottery began production in Cambridge, WI in 1974 as a one man potter’s studio. We have grown over our 36 years in business but have always stayed true to the craft’s traditions. Our factory continues to bustle with people, a lost art of its own these days, all using traditional methods and techniques of pottery making. Each piece of pottery begins as a raw lump of clay that is transformed into a mug, platter, vase or dinnerware piece by an artisan. Each piece of greenware is ready for firing after it has been glazed or hand decorated. In the back room of Rowe Pottery stands a kiln the size of a small garage. Carts, known as cars are stacked high with greenware, and are ready for the final 14 hour firing process. A fully loaded car is pulled into the kiln where the temperature is slowly raised to drive out the water and burn out the impurities in the clay. When the kiln has cooled again after the firing process it is opened. There is always an element of surprise as each piece is taken from the kiln. The firing process accents the glazes and the decorator’s brush strokes, highlights of the touch of the potter’s hands burnishes the color of the clay or glaze to a unique complexion making each piece individualized.

Cambridge Wood-fired Pottery was established with one simple purpose in mind: to make functional pots inspired by English, French, and Asian traditions. We begin by processing the clay, then turning each piece on the potter's wheel, and finally firing the pots in a large wood-burning kiln. This way of making pots pays respect to ancient traditions and produces pottery that is functional and connects us to our daily surroundings.

Ephraim Pottery is a small studio whose artists are still making pottery – really amazing art pottery – by hand in America. Our original designs and glazes are inspired by the beauty of nature and the Arts and Crafts aesthetic. At Ephraim Pottery, the philosophy of the Arts and Crafts movement is still as meaningful as it was a over 100 years ago. Our dedication to our art, to our customers, and to each other is reflected in our pottery.
