Dan’s retails a small operation offering a long menu of cakes baked with quality, one at a time, by hand which provides the highest results for each of our customers. We have led local industry in baking cakes with less sugar, better ingredients, natural fruit fillings, and lower salt recipes with healthy results for all.

A Brief History of Dan’s Pastry Gallery
Dan was born in Cambridge, WI and grew up in Madison, WI. He has been working in the food area since he was 15. At 19, he was asked to cater a garden cocktail party for 300 guests in Key West with only 3 days notice. The event − a fundraiser − was reviewed not for the garden, the host, or the beneficiary, but for the food with the review published in the Miami Herald.
As a result, the prestigious Casa Maria Hotel offered Dan the position of Pastry Chef, and Dan has been baking ever since. He has prepared cakes for American Airlines and Disney Desserts for Holiday Inn West (now Marriot) and has been chef for the University Club and the Kohl Center. And since 1991, Dan’s Pastry Gallery has provided more than 2,000 wedding cakes to happy brides across southern Wisconsin.
